As one of the world’s top providers of professional services for the measurement and analysis of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from aquatic environments (lakes, rivers and hydroelectric reservoirs), Englobe addresses environmental issues and the concerns of government and industry. Our company was involved in developing an international methodology for measuring net emissions from tropical reservoirs, and has participated in various GHG measurement projects in Canada (Quebec, Manitoba and Newfoundland and Labrador) and Australia (Tasmania, Queensland and New South Wales.

Our Services

• Measurement of gross and net aquatic emissions (CO₂, CH₄and N₂O fluxes) using infrared and floating chamber techniques
• Measurement of dissolved GHG concentrations (CO₂and CH₄,) using chromatography, working with recognized partners
• Continuous measurement of dissolved GHG concentrations using automated systems
• Development of a new in situ sensor for measuring pCO₂and pCH₄

Measurement of water quality variables: dissolved oxygen, pH, alkalinity, temperature, conductivity and turbidity. Other physicochemical variables (e.g., suspended solids, nutrients, etc.) may be analysed in cooperation with analytical laboratories.
