For over 50 years, Englobe has been participating in a multitude of construction, reconstruction or rehabilitation projects for the concrete engineering structures that make up Canada’s highway infrastructure.

Our technicians are certified by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) in quality control of concrete. This includes rebar installation and pouring, curing, finishing and protecting concrete.

Englobe can offer its clients a team of auditors with experience in ISO processes. They are experts in quality assurance for all steps in the fabrication of material or elements delivered on site.

Our Services

In-plant supervision of prefabricated concrete elements:

• Verify mix formulas and technical data on materials used
• Verify forms and surface preparation
• Verify steel rebar (diameter, position, covering, etc.) and tensioning, if required
• Verify check tests of fresh and hardened concrete
• Verify methods to consolidate, cure and protect fresh concrete
• Verify finish, texturing or surface roughness, if required
• Verify before forms are removed
• Verify fabrication processes (quality, equipment calibration, traceability, etc.)
• Inspect elements in storage and before transport to the site
• Track non-compliances
• Write daily inspection reports

In-plant audits of fabrication processes:

• Verify manufacturers’ quality plan
• Verify processes of fabrication and product application used by manufacturers, along with compliance
• Verify control and processing of raw material used in fabrication
• Verify manufacturers’ controls and inspections during fabrication
• Verify fabrication processes (plan quality, equipment calibration, traceability, etc.)
• Inspect elements in storage and before transport to the site
• Track non-compliances
• Write daily inspection reports
