Environmental Remediation of a Former Gas Extraction Site – Montreal, QC

The client hired Englobe to review existing environmental characterization reports and to determine whether successful biological treatment of the site was possible.

Following an in-depth review of the available reports, Englobe developed and implemented a complimentary characterization plan to delineate the contamination plumes. The work also led to the definition of remediation criteria for the site.

Englobe was then hired to carry out the remediation work, which involved excavation, biological treatment of contaminated soil and their reuse on-site as fill material, and the off-site disposal of untreatable soil.
