Englobe’s expertise was put to use during reconstruction of the Turcot interchange, a major highway junction in Quebec. The interchange is located in a dense urban setting and comprises four interchanges, numerous ramps and 28 overpasses (some 30 m in height). Furthermore, the site contained contaminated soil and biogases from a former landfill.
Englobe completed the approcpriate impact study and, given the scope of the project, the work was subject to Section 31 of Quebec’s Environment Quality Act. A screening was also required under the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act.
Our team's expertise ensured that issues with sound environment, air quality and relocation of rain infrastructure were minimized.
